Some love stories feel like they were always meant to be, written long before the couple ever met. That’s how it feels with Nicole and Michael Love.

One night after spending the summer buried in books preparing for the bar exam, Nicole was more than ready for a night off. She met up with her friend Rachel for a much-needed evening of laughter and karaoke. Rachel had brought along a few friends to join them, and among them was Michael Love.

It was a slow start to it all. Once they met the next couple of weeks Michael and Nicole went to whiskey bars, comedy clubs, bowling alleys... all during when Nicole did not realize these were dates... It wasn’t until about two weeks in that she realized what was happening and by then, Michael had already won her over.

Three years later, Nicole planned the ultimate trip to Hawaii down to every detail: viewing a sunset on top a volcano, dinner at Mama’s Fish House, scenic hikes; the picture perfect romantic backdrop.

And then… they flew home.

No proposal.

On the day of their final walkthrough before settling on their new home together. Their realtor, had brought along a professional camera, which Nicole assumed was just for promotional photos; so she kept ducking out of every room to stay out of the photos. That's when Mike asked her to step out onto the front porch to take a few pictures “for his parents.” As they posed together in front of the house, about to call home, Mike dropped to one knee and asked Nicole to marry him.
